Exploring "Exploring"

"What I really love about this program is the opportunity to be in a community of other like-minded spiritual seekers. I love the readings, I love the texts, I love the opportunity to gather in community to have really meaningful conversations. It almost feels sort of like a secret club in a way. I’m so grateful to be able to hold sacred space with other people, I find this to be a very grounding and nurturing space. " ~ student, Tzipporah

 FREE Introductory Group Session

Saturday, June 17:  10:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern Daylight Time)

This September, Zeitgeist will begin the seventh cohort of the "Exploring" group spiritual direction program. We create community by meeting monthly for a few hours to learn, share, and connect with one another. The program has assigned materials, and participants come together to engage on a different theme every month. (More details here.)

We want you to have the chance to experience group spiritual direction for yourself, and meet this year's teacher and facilitator, Kimberley Hundley. For this free introductory session, our timely topic is "Inside/Outside"  - what are the literal, metaphorical, social, poetic, musical, political, ecological and of course Spiritual ways to explore  "inside" and "outside"?
  • We'll begin with a brief moment of silence to collect ourselves and be together with intention
  • We'll invite everyone to share a bit about yourself, a little about your spiritual paradigm, and what grabbed your interest about the group.
    • Remember, our groups include ordained clergy, those who have walked away from formal religion, folks from a variety of traditions, and seekers of all sorts - we just ask that you bring a genuine commitment to respecting others, and a passion for meaning-making. Safety is paramount.
  • We've got a few prompts to get the discussion going, and to keep things moving - we're big fans of music and poetry. The discussion will be facilitated to encourage everyone's engagement, but you get to choose how you participate. (Because... safety. :)
  • Bring any questions you have about the program, how it works, who it's for, how this all got started, etc... We know the answers!
  • We'll close out with some connecting thoughts and give y'all the last word on what you're thinking and feeling.
